Scripture - 2 Samuel 5

Observation - When the Israelites went into a battle that was sanctioned by God, he led them, or, as these verse states, he went “out in front” of them. Many times, the Lord uses supernatural means to bring victory to his people. Here, God invites David to do battle differently. David followed the directions and succeeded! 

Application - God’s got our backs in so many ways. Some days we may feel like we are alone going through a situation, but reality is, is that God is right there by our side. In those times, it’s important to spend time in our secret place with God and praying for his supernatural direction and power over our lives. 

Prayer - Lord, I trust in your unfailing love, in your promises.
I give this day and all that it holds to you. May I walk in your goodness and direction,
knowing your gentle hand will guide me, and keep me.
