Gratitude Amidst Change... Day 15

IMG_4474-1.JPG

GOD smelled the sweet fragrance and thought to himself, “I’ll never again curse the ground because of people. I know they have this bent toward evil from an early age, but I’ll never again kill off everything living as I’ve just done. For as long as Earth lasts, planting and harvest, cold and heat, Summer and winter, day and night will never stop.”Genesis 8:21-22 MSG

Today’s Gratitude Challenge...

Seasons are a common grace for this world. A glimpse of the heart of God who makes all things new. We know that delays are always God’s kindness toward us. That growth comes from the death of a seed. That it takes trees years and years to grow. That a set of leaves falling off every year allows for hope to show up in a fresh way. Notice the season you’re in. Feel the ache of change? The painfully slow waiting? Praise God that He is preparing you to experience His mercies in a new and fresh way. Praise God that He’s following through with the promise He made to himself to allow seasons to complete a great work in you. Take a moment today to stop and pause and PRAISE GOD for something in your life that is in a season of change. Even if it’s painful, thank God for the change you are experiencing. Tell someone about it!

Even If You Can't See It...Day 14

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.” Psalms 63:3-4 NLT

Today’s Gratitude Challenge…

God’s love and care for us surpasses the temporary circumstance of how it my feel times. Through surrounding our anxious thoughts in prayer we can find HOPE in our relationship with Jesus. Start to praise God for the answer to your prayers before you even see it. Your Gratitude Challenge today is to pray about something that is really heavy on your heart that you haven’t witnessed an answer for. Start to THANK GOD, yes…even PRAISE HIM for the outcome even though you can’t see it.

Gratitude Beyond Words...Day 13

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!”

2 Corinthians 9:15 NLT

Today’s Gratitude Challenge…

What a beautiful statement. When you really consider what Christ has done in our lives, it’s way beyond what words can say or contain. Your challenge unfolds with taking a few minutes to share your story or Christ’s redemption and love. Your testimony! Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the right person, the right situation …and then look for it and be ready. Try putting words to this wonderful gift of redemption.

Being Thankful for Peace...Day 12

IMG_4474-1.JPG

Today I’m thankful for peace. The kind of peace only Jesus can bring.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27 NIV

Today’s Gratitude Challenge…

Woke up stirred to pray for this in every area and in every relationship in my life. I’m so thankful that God created this state of the mind, this state of the heart that is supernatural. Your challenge today is to think about a relationship in your life that maybe has conflict continuously involved in it. Take a moment to thank God for peace and then pray for PEACE to be at the center of the relationship. Now, go the extra the mile and maybe even write a letter or send a text asking for forgiveness or whatever could help bring resolution.

The Fruit of Gratitude...Day 11

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”

Galatians 5:22-25

Today’s Gratitude Challenge…

We often see the fruits in others before we see it in ourselves...which is just one more reason why investing in community is so important.

For today’s gratitude challenge, praise God for your community, reflect who has shown fruitfulness to you, to others, in situations...and let them know! Encourage each other and praise God for his faithfulness.

Praise Encourages Gratitude! Day 10

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9 NLT

Today's Gratitude Challenge...

Praise…setting your mind on things worthy of praise. The very foundation of gratitude is smothered in praise. Just start to start to praise God for who He is. Start to Praise Him for what He has done. The word “praise” means to give approval and admiration. It’s a form or gratitude and is committed to telling God how awesome He is whether you feel it or not. Make a list of things that you will PRAISE Him for that are currently in your life. For example…

Praise Him for the sunshine. Praise Him for the beauty around you. Praise Him for His grace. Praise Him…LIFT HIM Up higher than anything else in your mind for what He is doing today.

It’s amazing what PRAISE can do.

Wake Up and say "Thank You"...Day 9

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.” Psalm 59:16 NLT

Today’s Gratitude Challenge…

I try to make my very first thought in the morning when I open my eyes “thank you.” I thank my heavenly Father for another chance to be my best self living my best life, and another day to surround myself with family, friends, and love. It feels amazing to start the day from such a positive place right from the moment that you first you see the day. Challenge yourself tomorrow when you wake up to say the words “thank you” the moment your mind awakes. Start thanking the Lord for anything that comes to mind. Allow gratitude to fill your heart.

Today’s FOCUS: Prepare yourself to be thankful from the first moment of your day…

Gratitude Amidst The Prayer...DAY 8

IMG_4474-1.JPG

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:4-6 NIV

Today's Gratitude Challenge...

Learning to pray about things rather than stew over them is no easy task. As we pray about our needs by rejoicing amidst them with gratitude, joy for what God is going to do starts to grow in our hearts. Your challenge today is to pray through things in your life that you know are needs. Big ones, small ones. As you pray about them THANK GOD for the answer that is yet to come whatever that answer may look like.

Today’s FOCUS: Find JOY through your gratitude in prayer.
